Presidential Conflict of Interest Act of 2017

It’s been a little over a month, and fact-denial as well as loser of the popular vote President Trump has already begun to use the presidency to improve his financial benefits. This blatantly infringes on the constitution and all standards of anti-corruption.

We now have a tool to take matters into our own hands and address this rampant corruption: Elizabeth Warren’s bill, the Presidential Conflicts of Interest Act of 2017.

Call your senator(s) RIGHT NOW and urge them to co-sponsor Elizabeth Warren’s bill to end Trump’s conflicts of interest.

Call Senator Ted Cruz at (202) 224-5922 and Senator John Cornyn at (202) 224-2934.  (If you don’t live in Texas call the Senators from your state.

Here’s a sample script:

“I am a constituent from [ZIP CODE, STATE]. I’m calling to urge my senator to co-sponsor Senator Warren’s bill (S.65) requiring Donald Trump to divest and end his financial conflicts of interest.”

Can’t call? Send a CUSTOM email to your senators urging them to support the bill.

Monday was national call-in day to support the Presidential Conflicts of Interest Act — the day members of Congress returned from recess — to build support for the bill.   But that doesn’t matter as you can call your senator’s office anytime.

Our president and his administration are turning a profit at the expense of the rest of us. We cannot let this occur without a fight. Already members of Congress are blown away by the record level of anger from their constituents, and they’re changing their behavior because of it. Your voice does matters.  Remember that they work for us – the voters who put them in office.
