Weeks ago, FBI Director James Comey set off a political blast when he informed congressional leaders that the bureau had stumbled across emails that might be related to its completed inquiry into Hillary Clinton’s handling of emails when she was secretary of state.
The Clinton campaign and others are still criticized Comey for intervening in a presidential campaign by breaking with Justice Department tradition and revealing information about an investigation — information that was vague and perhaps ultimately irrelevant—so close to Election Day. On Sunday, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid upped the ante. He sent Comey a fiery letter saying the FBI chief may have broken the law and pointed to a potentially greater controversy:
“In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisers, and the Russian government…The public has a right to know this information.” Finish reading article!
“….there was an established exchange of information between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin of mutual benefit.”..
“…….Trump during his visits to Moscow and could “blackmail him.” It also reported that Russian intelligence had compiled a dossier on Hillary Clinton based on “bugged conversations she had on various visits to Russia and intercepted phone calls…….”
After what seems to be a rigged election where FBI Director James Comey publicly attempted to produce the last minute trickery that Hillary Clinton was under investigation, while hiding all along the fact Trump was in fact being investigated for his ties to the Russians, it is now out that President Obama and his administration are taking things into their own hands. The administration is now bypassing the FBI and reviewing Trump’s alleged ties itself.
This sudden action from President Obama’s White House comes after the Democratic Coalition Against Trump filed a wide-ranging briefing called the ‘The Dworkin Report’ which unveils a number of key links between Donald Trump and Russia that the FBI either missed or ignored. Shortly before the election, Senator Harry Reid leaked the fact that the FBI had been secretly investigating Trump’s ‘Russian connections’ for months.
Following this, the FBI leaked a story to the New York Times about how it supposedly hadn’t found anything in its investigation of Trump. But that’s now being uncovered as a rather flagrant misleading term on the part of the FBI.
It’s not clear what President Obama’s White House will do with the damning report once it finishes reviewing it. But it gives at least some small measure of hope to the millions of Americans who want Trump to face criminal justice for conspiring with the Russians to ‘rig the election’, rather than taking office.
