Republicans couldn’t pass a bill to defund Planned Parenthood. They couldn’t shut down the government to defund Planned Parenthood. They couldn’t prove that Planned Parenthood has done a single thing wrong — even after listening to hours of testimony and receiving tens of thousands of pages of documents.

But still congressional Republicans just can’t stop attacking women’s rights. The extremist right-wing House leadership team have created an entire new special committee to investigate Planned Parenthood and provide yet another forum for House Republicans to grandstand for political points from their extreme conservative base.

House Republicans committed to shutting down Planned Parenthood have already spent months wasting time and money to find no evidence of any wrongdoing, it’s time for them to be held accountable and it’s time for them to stop.

Two weeks ago, Obama told HBO’s Bill Simmons that any upcoming plans are still undergoing legal review. “There are maybe a few more that had to be scrubbed by lawyers because essentially, with every executive action, we can count on it being challenged by somebody in Congress or, in this case, the NRA.
